Good afternoon, everyone.

It’s hard to put into words what I’m feeling right now as I write this. After 44 years of our family serving this wonderful community at Kurver Kreme, it’s time for us to close this chapter. But before we do, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

When my family and I started this journey all those years ago, we could never have imagined the countless memories, friendships, and connections that would come from something as simple as a cone of ice cream. For many of you, we’ve been part of your birthdays, family outings, first dates, celebrations, and even just those quiet moments when you needed a little sweetness in your day. And I’ll tell you—those moments have meant the world to us.

To our loyal customers: You’ve been the backbone of this business. Your smiles, kind words, friendship and encouragement have been the driving force behind everything we’ve done. Over 44 years of serving generations of families, watching kids growing up season after season. Being a part of your family and you a part of ours. We will miss this the most. 

To my incredible team, both past and present: You’ve been more than employees, you’ve been our family. Your hard work, passion, and dedication are what made this business thrive. We couldn’t have done it without you. I appreciate every one of you. 

To my parents:  Your support and guidance was the catalyst for our family's success. You instilled in me the invaluable principles of perseverance, dedication, and selflessness.  My boys have been fortunate enough to inherit the same strong work ethic, adopting the same values that have been the cornerstone of our family's accomplishments. As the saying goes, 'Nothing worth doing is easy.”

I extend my deepest gratitude to my parents for the invaluable life lessons that have enabled us to carry on the business. 

To my boys: Nick and Nate who have always been at my side. You understood the sacrifices, showed up and worked hard with unshakeable commitment. Our customers have watched you grow into the exceptional men you are today!

Nick, the last few years you have been my right arm, my rock, my partner. I could never have achieved greatness without you. We formed an unbeatable team. 

To my husband: the man behind the scenes, although sometimes at the waffle irons, you are my foundation, my sounding board and the best handyman a girl could ever ask for. 
This journey wouldn’t have been possible without your love, sacrifice and unwavering support.

​As we step away from the business, I do so with immense gratitude and a heart full of memories. I hope you’ll welcome the new owners with the same warmth and kindness you’ve shown us, and treat them like family as well.

Although I am handing the reins over, rest assured I’ll be around to help ease the transition. Teaching them all my secrets and sharing our families recipes so you can continue to enjoy Kurver as you know it!

It’s been an honor and a privilege to serve this community and your family and I’ll carry these memories with me for the rest of my life. 

I am excited to introduce the new owners of Kurver Kreme! The Hostig and Wagner families will be dishing out your summer memories starting this season. Wishing them all the best! I’m confident they will thrive with all of you supporting them!
